Howdy Folks! We hope everyone has had a great week. We have survived some MORE rain over the weekend, and experiencing some strong winds today. Up to 25mph gusts, and boy it is still so hot out here! The fields are drying out quickly with the wind and the sunshine. We have been able to get some planting done on some rows we were able to get up on Saturday before the rain came. That is a good feeling with more possible rain in the forecast.

Our high tunnel has been reconstructed! We are so happy to see it back up. We are going to try out some of the plastic siding that was left behind from the last greenhouse for a slip and slide this weekend and some some lemonade with that lemon.. Our sweet Hazel turns 4 on Friday, so we are going to spoil her with a good old fashioned, soap and water slip and slide! So, all in all things are good at the farm. Very grateful for that.

We hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend. Here are the contents of this week’s box:

  1. Spring Onions- A bunch of onions with the greens still on them. And you guessed it! I cook those greens too! I sauté them with my bulb onion or I save and add to stocks and soups.

  2. Lettuce

  3. Swiss Chard

  4. Broccoli- So nice we are giving it to you twice ;)

  5. Broccoli

  6. Green Beans- I love to cook these beans down in some broth, aminos, and a little onion until all the broth is almost cooked off. They turn out pretty tender and flavorful.

  7. Squash- A nice mix of summer squash

  8. Red Radishes
